My passion for voice work started during my professional theatre acting training at The Central School of Speech and Drama, The London Centre for Theatre Studies and with Frantic Assembly.
A degree in Human Geography combined with a love of travel (including time spent living abroad) have enabled me to study communities, cultures and people across the globe. These experiences have undoubtedly helped me to develop and perfect accents and characterisations; skills which I'm regularly hired for.
Before moving full time to acting and voice over, I spent time working in private banking. This experience of the corporate world has helped inform my professional performance and demeanour in commercials, explainers, corporates, e-learning and IVR. It also means I have a good handle on corporate lingo.
About me
I'm passionate about my craft and have been described as ‘ruthlessly efficient’. I pride myself on every aspect of the delivery of my work from time keeping to taking direction.
As soon as I voiced my first commercial I was hooked on the art of VO.
I revel in the combination of technicality with creativity and characterisation.
I spent several years acting in various theatre shows, short films and commercials whilst building my voiceover career.
I now work as a professional international voice over artist in London and have voiced numerous scripts for various clients ranging from Hello Kitty to the NHS and I have over 200 books on Audible.
I won the 2024 Audie for Best Fiction Narrator (beating Meryl Streep...!), and was a 2023 Double Audie
Nominee. I'm proud to have won various awards including 7 Earphone Awards, Best Audiobook Performance Fiction at The One Voice Awards 2023 and 2020, and Best Radio Drama Performance 2021 at The One Voice Awards.
As well as my voice over work, I'm passionate about saving the planet and all things eco and yes, I'm a proud vegan but don't worry, I won't hit you around the face with a falafel!
My spare time is spent with my lovely daughters, Bodhi and Indra and wonderful husband Mark. I love travel, art, family, theatre, cinema, literature.
